Inna Rogatchi’s  SOUND-BEAT I ( 2021)  artwork is presented at the 17th Athens International Digital Arts Festival, ADAF, the largest of the cultural events of the sort in Europe ( 20.09. – 31.10.2021).The theme of the 17th ADAF Festival this year is TACTUS.

After two years of the pandemic, the artistic willingness to participate and to show their works at the large international gathering turned out to be unprecedented: 3731 artists from 107 countries presented their 3973 works to the ADAF Jury.

The Festival presents the works of the international digital art community in seven categories:  Games, Videos, Digital Images, Web Art, Performances, etc. Inna Rogatchi’s work is presented in the Digital Images category, where only 18 works have been selected from the mass of submitted art from several thousands international artists. Those artists are from Greece, France, Germany, Switzerland, Finland, Canada, Chile, Brazil and Taiwan. 

Inna’s artwork is part of her extensive abstract works collection and also it belongs to the series of the works of the artist’s rendering of music in general and of jazz in particular.

Inna Rogatchi is the only artist from Finland whose work is presented in the Digital Image category. There are three more artists from Finland whose works are presented in the Video Art, Web Art and Animation categories. 

The 17th ADAF Festival will be open in Athens until the end of October 2021.

Inna Rogatchi’s Through the Time III. Tuscany artwork is exhibited at the highly prestigious PRAXIS Gallery & Photographic Arts Centre in Minneapolis, the USA, at the The SHAPE OF THINGS exhibition ( September 18th – October 2nd, 2021). 

The major exhibition shows 64 works of various established artists., predominantly from the US, and also from France, Italy, China, Czech Republic, Poland and Finland. Inna Rogatchi is the sole artist representing Finland at the exhibition in Minneapolis.

Inna’s work points on historical perspective, atypically for the exhibitions focused on shapes. 

The artist’s purpose is to emphasise the beauty of preservation of our history, heritage, its material culture, and its beauty.

Two original artworks by Inna Rogatchi were donated by the artist to the UK Royal Explorers Society to support their Explorers Against Extinction program in 2021. 

Song in Green ( 2021)  portraying Ginkgo Biloba plant which is in the list of the Extinct Plants, and Song of a Little Cloud ( 2021) portraying natural water reserve with the rare water lily which is also listed among the Extinct Plants in a wild nature were created by Inna specifically to participate in the Explorers Society Sketch for Survival international charitable program 2021. 

In their turn, the Explorers Society is planting a tree in return for every donation of the artworks provided by the artists world-wide. This year, the trees will be planted in Kenya, in the Masai region. The artworks by Inna Rogatchi donated by the artist to the UK Royal Explorers Society in support of the Society Explorers Against Extinction program will be sold at the charitable auctions during the autumn – winter 2021 and in early 2022.

Inna Rogatchi will participate at different events of the 3d Edition of Art360 Festival organised by Pure Arts Group, London, the UK. The 3d Edition of the Festival will take place during the Autumn-Winter 2021 season, from October through December 2021. 

Two of Inna’s works were selected for the Art360 exhibition, the artist will be covered in the special Art360 3d Edition of the Pure Arts Group magazine, and Inna was selected for the 30-strong group of artists for an hour of live broadcast personal coverage. 

Pure Arts Group is known for their high-end art, top selections, and elegant events. It is one of the leading British and international art promotional groups at the contemporary art stage today. 

Special issue of the Pure Arts Group Magazine for the 3d Edition of Art360 Festival will represent 70 artists selected from several hundreds of international artists working in different genres. 

The group of the artists who were elected by the top jurors for an hour of live broadcasts, is much smaller. This year, the ART360 Festival jury has selected 30 artists from several hundreds for live personal broadcast coverage. Twenty artists from the group are British, five are Americans, and the rest five represent France, Finland, Japan, Slovenia and Poland. Inna Rogatchi is the only artist from Finland who was invited  to participate in the events of the 3d Edition of the ART360 Festival.

Inna Rogatchi’s work Sound-beat I ( 2021) has been selected by the jury to participate in the International ADAF Digital Arts Festival in Athens. 

 

ADAF is the one of the largest and most prestigious Digital Arts festivals in the world. It was established in 2005, and has a large presence of international artists and a very large audience annually. 350-450 artists from about 60 countries are selected by the ADAF jury from 45 000 submissions. The ADAF exhibitions are organised at the famed Athens Technopolis. 

The Festival is highly rated internationally. It is the only Greek festival which is a laureate of the EFFE, Europe for Festival organisation. 

The theme of the 17th Edition of ADAF 2021 is TACTUS ( a touch in its wide and complex meaning), and it has been set as the invitation for artists to re-exam the definition of human connection. 

This theme is not new for Inna Rogatchi. The artist works on it constantly, and recently has created a special series Geometry of Love, many works of which are directly examining  this kind of connection artistically. 

Sound-beat I is modern work which aims to create ‘a portrait’ of a sound, and not just a sound, but the one of a beat of jazz. That’s why the inner dynamic of the work is quite essential here. The composition of the work also visually recreates the mode of a jazz, not only with its syncopes, but mostly with the main sensation of jazz as it is understood by Inna, its suddenness.  Suddenness is a character and gift of jazz, and the artist aimed to portray it in her work. Coloristic-wise, the work is created in cold colours, echoing the coolness of jazz. Importantly,  none of the colors used by Inna  is presented in the work in a direct way. Each of them has a number of shades ( there are five different blue, four greens,  three white and two yellow colours) presenting complexity, smoothness, inter-connectivity and that special sensation of jazz, that always surprising Sound-beat of it. 

The 17th ADAF Digital Arts Festival in Athens will be on display from September 20th till October 3st, 2021. There will also be an online version of the Festival.
