Shining Souls: Champions of Humanity © is the project which is the part of the Outreach to Humanity series of projects run by The Rogatchi Foundation. The first edition, The Brussels Edition of the project, dedicated to Elie Wiesel, was inaugurated at the European Parliament ( 2016 – 2017) as a special event and exhibition, in January 2017, as part of the official European Parliament program of commemoration of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

The second edition of the project, The Helsinki Edition ( 2018 – 2019), was inaugurated in January 2018 at the Parliament of Finland, at the special event and exhibition, which were part of the official program of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day commemorations in Finland

Special M.A.M. Edition of the Shining Souls 2024 is part of the Music,  Art and Memory international educational commemorative multi-disciplined project ( Italy – Germany – Finland), and is dedicated to the core humanist figures of Europe, with emphasis on the outstanding humanists from Italy and Germany, whose role was crucial for the morale during and after the Second World War, and whose influence in humanism as the only antidote to hate and racism still be vitally important today. The Special M.A.M. Edistion of the Shining Souls ( 2024) was part of public cultural commemorative events on the 80th anniversary of the the Nazi San Pancrazio massacre in Tuscany, Italy, in the end of June 2024.

The Special M.A.M. Edition of the Shining Souls: Champions of Humanity has also other new features in the creation of the artistic material. In this Edition, the metaphorical artworks dedicated to each personality are  presented as collages, which include a personality’s photos, the dates of their lives and their native country, and a quote from these great people which reflects their visions and which are highly relevant today.

This new format has been created for the M.A.M project specifically, in order to emphasise and to transmit as much information and knowledge as possible to the audience of students and youth who are expected to be both participants and audience at the M.A.M. project events.

The core idea of the message of the Special M.A.M. Edition of the Inna Rogatchi and The Rogatchi Foundation Shining Souls: Champions of Humanity project 2024 can be summarised by a short phrase by Raoul Wallenberg: “One person can make a difference”.
